Orthomol Pro junior is a food supplement that provides targeted support for the gut, for example during treatment with antibiotics, and also for the immune system and energy metabolism.

The gut microbiota plays an important role in a child’s development and also affects their entire life. It must be noted that a child’s gut microbiota differs from an adult’s, however. Different strains of microorganisms live in the gut and preserve stability and balance. Important bacteria in the gut include bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. Despite this, many factors such as environmental stress and prescription drugs can change the gut microbiota, and cause the gut to lose its balance.

The gut symbionts are produced using patented double coating technology. This procedure ensures high stability of the cultures during storage and transport, and protects the gut symbionts as they pass through the gastrointestinal system. The technology is known as LAB2PRO™.
